Description
In our nation and even around the world, there has been a mass disregard for aged men and women. The trend among millennials is to follow peers rather than those who are older and wiser. However, this modern shift does not mirror Biblical examples or Biblical principles. Throughout Scripture, one can find a generational approach in which the elder men and women transferred their faith, their knowledge, and their direction to those who came behind them. Likewise, we Christians today must leave a heritage for those coming behind us. Proverbs 22:28 clearly states: “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.”
The purpose of this booklet is to challenge and exhort Christians to leave a godly heritage to their children, grandchildren, Sunday school class, coworkers, church ministry, etc. Without the input and example of the aged men and women of God, a second and third generation will not be preserved. It is our prayer that this simple tool will provoke Christians to consider what they are passing down to the next generation.
