Kinfolks & Characters (Carl Hurley) DVD (Comedy)

What do you think of when you hear someone say, "That person is a real character"? When I hear that, lots of people come to mind - usually my own kinfolks. Yes, many of my relatives are real characters; chances are you have some zany characters in your family, too! That's what makes going to family reunions so much fun.

When I say "character," I'm thinking about someone who sees the world at an offbeat angle and tells you about it. You may have heard me talk about Uncle Arlo and Aunt Mavis, Cousin Eldean and his wife, Eulafaye. Then theirs cousin Lodine and her husband Ramone, who's not from the hills and has an aversion to work. One day Ramone said to me, "Loan me fifty dollars until payday." I asked, "When's payday?" He said, "Idon't know, you're the one that's working."

In this recording we celebrate "Kinfolks and Characters." Sometimes they're one and the same, and I love 'em all.
