Also, there is presented quite an extended account of the "split" in Baptist ranks, showing who are the "Primitive Baptists" together with Side-Light on the "Split". A volume, written for the Liberty Baptist Association of Thomasville, in Davidson County, North Carolina which incorporates also Lexington, NC. This volume is rich with historical information concerning the Baptists in North Carolina. The first individual Baptists were in NC by 1695 and churches were established as persecution in other areas of the colonies existed.
