Language Lessons for a Living Education: Grade 6

Language Lessons for a Living Education 6 is designed for Grade 6 students and uses a story-based approach to teach language.

The first day of the week is a special feature; every other week starts with reading and activities related to the 10 Minute Bible Journey (sold-separately) with the weeks in between alternating between picture studies and reading poetry or a proverb. A lesson follows giving students a change to apply their creative writing skills. The second and third days of the week cover writing topics such as grammar and punctuation. The fourth day has students completing a different set of activities from The 10 Minute Bible Journey. The fifth day focuses on spelling and vocabulary with a focus on syllables, pronunciation and rules. Using the spelling words and the Dictionary Worksheets student will create their very own dictionary as they move through the material.

Quarterly reviews are integrated in the course, and can be used as quizzes or tests for assessment. A section of teacher aids at the back of the book includes assessments, extra practice pages, study sheets, fun games, and more. "Just4Fun" activities provide extra critical thinking and problem-solving practice and are designed to be a fun break from the regular lesson

Lessons are designed to be used over five days a week. Covers one year of instruction.
