Reed's Word Lessons by Alonzo Reed

A nice, very usable copy of the 1898 textbook, "Reed's Word Lessons' by Alonzo Reed.  A complete speller adapted for use in the higher primary, intermediate, and Grammer Grades.  This is equal to the 3rd, maybe, 4th and 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades.  This book is designed to teach the correct Spelling, Pronunciation, and Use of such words only as are most common in the current literature, and as are most likely to be Misspelled, Mispronounced, or Misread,  and to awaken new interest in the study of synonyms and of Word Analysis.  This is a revised 1897 edition with words of that period that will be most useful in understanding the world of 2021.  188 pages.
