The Art Of Finding A New Pastor

Most churches are not properly equipped to handle the situation when their pastor leaves the church and they find themselves without a spiritual leader.

Not knowing what to do can leave the church fearful, confused and frustrated.

Thank the Lord, that in many cases the local church has a spiritual laymen or former pastor that can help give direction in choosing the next pastor.  

But what about those who do not hae qualified leaders to do so?

Brother Knickerbocker has laid out the practical procedure for a church pulpit committee to follow in searching for and vetting potential candidates that God may lead to pastor their church.  

Three basic requirements are needed by the pulpit committee:

1. Supplicating to the Lord for His direction
2. Searching the field for potential candidates 
3. Screening those who show an interest in candidating
