The Gospel In Madison Avenue is a volume of sermons which attempts to show how ads can be used effectively by a minister in relating God's message of hope and love to the world. The ads become the illustration for each sermon presented here. In thus focusing on some selected commercials which the congregation may be hearing frequently, the minister is providing his listeners with an opportunity to be continually reminded of the message he preached on Sunday morning. In using this kind of story-form method, the author is following Jesus' own example of making the message relevant to the times.
