A vintage 1858 first edition of the hardcover book, "The Methodist Pulpit South" published by William T. Smithson.  Published for the benefit of the Mehtodist Episcopal Church, South, in the City of Washington.  A selection of messages given by various churchmen including, "Heavenly Treasures Contrasted with Earthly by Rev. W. M. Wightman, D.D., President of Wofford College, The Perfect Law of Liberty by Joshua Soule, D.D., Senior Bishop of the M.E. Church, South, Resurrection of the Dead by Rev. S. G. Starks, President of Tennessee Female College.  A total of 16 message by men form the various conferences throughout the south, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Virginia.  A nice selection of sermons from the 19th century ministers.  314 pages.
