A Biblical Explanation of God's Will

Architectural design may be classical Roman or Greek, Gothic, Baroque, Victorian, Modern, or even Neofuturist. Just as buildings and bridges possess structural characteristics that earmark themes of their designers, so the Eternal Designer, the Lord of Heaven and Earth, manifests in His workmanship many particular evidences of His hand.

The child of God is “his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus” (Eph. 2:10). The glorious design of the Eternal Designer of the individual lives of his children is indeed amazing and awe-inspiring. Far from being aloof and disinterested in His creature man, the Creator attended to every soul from the outset, overseeing even the minutest detail.

An understanding of God’s will for one’s life includes the Creator’s sovereign design, His salvation design, His Scripture design, His specific design, and yes, even His design in suffering to produce the only satisfactory design for life on planet Earth.
